As the oldest BMW dealership in Belgium, family business BMW Le Couter & Lemmens – Le Couter was looking for a way to make their used cars practices more data-driven.

“While it used to be about gut feeling, today it’s a combination with data. We were looking for a way to make our stock management measurable, which we found in JP.cars,” says Stijn Le Couter, owner of BMW Le Couter.

The main reason for collaborating with JP.cars, was the ability to establish their own protocol.

Stijn: “The software is not standardized, but adapted to our own dealership through the protocol. The explanation and guidance in this process was a very good and professional collaboration; it went flawlessly. We didn’t hesitate for a second whether to continue with it.”

In addition to valuating vehicles, Le Couter uses the JP.cars software for managing its stock – which is paying off.

Stijn: “In the past, we mainly dropped prices, sometimes too late. Now it’s a structured process. The price adjustments aren’t always negative: the software also indicates when you can raise the price of a car, while I didn’t initially think so. When you establish a certain strategy, the software helps you achieve your objectives. For example, our stock has decreased by 20%, by following the price adjustments. Stock management has become much simpler and more measurable.”
